Our story…
We are so excited to host you in our first home!
We purchased the cottage in February of 2023 and spent the better half of a year renovating the cottage ourselves. We are so proud of our hard work and we hope you enjoy it, too!
The Red Fern Cottage was built in 1956 as part of the original Leatherwood Cottages motel. These quaint abodes played host to countless cherished memories and served as a “home away from home” for families seeking solace in the breathtaking Smoky Mountains over the years.
Please note that some aspects, such as the shower/plumbing, are original, and are nearly 70 years old. We kindly request your gentle care and understanding as you create your own memories here.
